Meet Graham & Jason
Graham Couch
Graham has been the Lansing State Journal’s sports columnist since coming back to his hometown in 2012, providing an insightful and authoritative voice to the coverage of Michigan State football and men’s basketball, as well as issues impacting the Big Ten and Mid-Michigan sports community. He appears regularly on “Press Pass All-Stars” on Sunday nights on Fox 47 and, for five years, was a weekly co-host on The Drive with Jack Ebling. Couch and The Rube marks his first leading role on a daily radio show and podcast, a job fitting his dulcet tones and interesting face. Couch, who insists his athletic prime is still to come, plans to one day play professional basketball in Europe.
Jason Knick
When you tune in to Couch and The Rube, Jason, aka “The Rube”, is co-hosting and producing, a dual role worthy of his vast talents. Jason also produces and is heard regularly on The Spartan Beat with Rico Beard. Jason’s a media veteran with a distinctly funny sense of humor…don’t worry it’ll grow on you too! He’s our resident gambling “expert,” where his interests extend to all things NBA, and college and pro football too. If you give him an hour (or three) he’ll passionately explain to you why the NBA game is so much better than the college game, even if you don’t ask. In his spare time, Jason’s also a passionate lover of macro brews, and with no offense to the craft brew hipsters or breweries, cannot for the life of him understand how someone can enjoy a Great Big Kentucky Sausage Fest over a Keystone Light.
