Meet Jack
Jack has covered sports and more as a writer and broadcaster in Mid-Michigan since 1978. The 2017 Michigan Broadcaster of the Year and three-time Michigan Sportswriter of the Year, he was a 2006 inductee into the Greater Lansing Area Sports Hall of Fame. A two-time graduate of MSU, the former English teacher and coach spent nearly a quarter-century as a beat writer and columnist for the Lansing State Journal and won 21 major writing awards before entering broadcasting in 2002. Jack’s encyclopedia like ability to recall minute details of games and statistics is uncanny. If you want an ace trivia guy on your team, Jack’s your guy. His contacts with media, coaches and players extend to every corner of the country in almost every sport, making The Drive with Jack your go-to source for some of the best sports talk in Michigan.
